The first thing that needs to be said, and really the most important, is that the dog loves them. It could the most beneficial chew on the planet but if she didn't like them and want to eat them I'd only ever order them once. That's the biggest positive out of the way. In terms of a product designed for good health these seem to tick almost all of the boxes. The two aspects I'm not so keep on and would put off quite a few are the use of palm oil, sustainable claim or not, and then the use of chicken liver and heart. I know quite a few dog owners whose dogs are sensitive to chicken and would not even consider buying these simply because of that fact. There are other ingredients that could replace those two, but chicken is of course more readily available and cheaper. I keep my my on probiotic supplements all the time as she's had two bouts of haemorrhagic gastroenteritis already and I'll do anything that helps hold off another, or at least lower the severity. There would fit the bill perfectly I feel although I have nothing to offer as proof. Biggest negative - not at all cheap. I know most products of this type of which there are many, are all about the same for being over-priced but if you want to break into the market, surely a lower price for a lesser known brand wouldn't hurt?

The flavour profile is certainly appealing, and having tried this particular flavour previously, on my elderly dog, I can honestly say that in as little as a week, there was a noticeable improvement in my dog's digestive system. These chews took no effort to introduce to either of my dogs, and considering my elder dog is a very picky eater, these chews went down a treat. Therefore, I believe these soft chews to be a convenient and effective way to maintain my pet's overall gut health, and I'm very happy to continue incorporating these into both of my dogs' daily routines, knowing that the intended benefit of these chews will undoubtedly be delivered within these veterinary-specific Daily Care Gut + Well-Being Chews. To conclude, these chews are a healthy digestive product that helps support my dog's regularity, whilst also helping to support overall health from top to bottom. We're currently trying various flavours and recipes of these probiotics with our lurcher. He has no problem eating them as he would any other treat, and no side effects that we've noticed. He generally has good digestion, although he's occasionally had an upset stomach and once ended up at the vets. He's 3 years old. Since starting these he's had no issues, but it's impossible to say whether that's as a result of him having the probiotics or whether he's just fighting fit at the moment. We'll know better should we continue to buy these, although at the recommended daily dose he'd be going through a bag a month, which is quite an outlay. Not as expensive as a trip to the vets, though, so we'll have to consider it carefully.

Too early to tell about any long term health benefits but so far our cockapoo has been thoroughly enjoying these probiotic treats. As a pet owner, what drew me to these probiotic treats over others is that they are designed by vets so it really adds a level of reassurance to the quality. The flavour is also much superior to that found by most supermarket brands. I am keen to see how over time it benefits our dog’s gut health.

I am giving this 3 stars because I'm unsure how my dog is reacting to them. After having one the previous night, the following day he didn't eat all day and his stomach was making squelching noises. Could have been unrelated but impossible to tell. They are extremely expensive for what they are and impossible for you to tell whether or not they have any impact on your dog's gut and wellbeing. My dog did seem to like the taste though.
